Success in this Industry

Most people do not understand the network marketing profession. I have been with one company for 23 years, have earned a very nice income for all those years, have worked part time hours, traveled the world and was home to watch my children grow up.

That was my motivation getting into the industry and have lived it because of the following reasons:

• Understanding that it is a teaching business, not sales.
• Finding a solid company with a great product that you can get passionate about and staying with that company.

• As much as this may disappoint you, the business is built face to face by building relationships. The internet doesn’t work well, the people may join but the volume usually doesn’t follow or continue. They must Know You, Like You and Trust You which is usually achieved through your warm market. If done properly, 10 people sponsored in your area can lead to warm contacts of theirs all over North America. The system looks after them where ever they are at.
• A system must be created as the business is about “leading a large group of people to do a few simple actions over and over for a sustained period of time”.
• The top reason for businesses failures in any industry is poor and inconsistent marketing. A system needs to be created so the average person can achieve that.
• Understanding that there are three types of systems and ways of looking at the business. There is nothing wrong with either of them but understand that the outcomes will be different.

Big Business Mentality - There is no ceiling on your income. Systems and training must be effective and in place so the business can run without you. Hard to do for people that want to be in control.

Small Business Mentality - This is the mentality of most companies and people even though they don’t realize it. Constant change, to much focus on product (even though it is amazing, it looks like sales to a new person) You can earn $1000.00 to $5000.00 or maybe even $10,000 but you will be a slave to the business by doing all the work yourself.

Retail Business Mentality - This is for people who think any business is about doing home parties or selling to a few friends and family without a focused explanation. You can earn a $100-$500 per month.

 

• Community needs to be created as many people won’t do the business but will become a life long customer. A big part of the reason for them staying is the training, personal development, friendships and fun.
• Creating a culture where everyone knows what to do and what the rules are. People need to work together with sidelines as team players even though they may not have any financial gain from the groups of people they are working a long side of.
